Before reading this guide make sure you download and install the new free and light Java application, it will allow you to launch directly into the game.
Java Get Powered

TitanStrike.com Tutorials

This guide is designed to help you understand and use certain basic features of the Titan Strike system. If there is something you feel is missing please send an email to tutorial@titanstrike.com. Thanks for taking the time to make this guide better for the entire community.

Logging In

  1. First click on the Sign-In button on the top left of your screen. For your security the password is case-sensitive.

Changing your Time Zone

It’s really important to properly configure your time zone, since all challenges that show on your Calendar have a time attached. In order to avoid being late for matches make sure you change and save the settings with your proper time zone.

    1. Configure your time zone by clicking on Account in the top navigation bar then click on Overview.

    2. Once your Account dashboard is open click on the Edit button under the My Profile tab.  You will see the time zone drop-down box. Don’t know your time zone? Go to http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

2. Once you select your appropriate time zone it will take approximately 30 seconds for the time to be updated at the bottom corner of your calendar. Before scheduling a match make sure you have the correct time zone. If it is slighlty (up to 15 minutes) off your current time do not worry.

Recognizing a Challenge

    1. Light-Challenge notification: The most noticeable challenge notice will be when the wires on the webpage turn red and show red balls of light coming down towards the status bar. The status bar will also turn red and say ‘Challenge’ with the subject your challenger entered scrolling below. This method is the most noticeable because it will happen regardless of what part of the system you are on.

    2.  If you changed windows or stepped away from the computer for a few minutes you might have missed the red lighting that notifies you of a challenge. You should check the system messages by clicking on Account and then Messages in the sub-menu. You will be able to see any received challenges in the box titled “Challenges”.

      Accepting a Challenge

When you schedule a match you are making a promise to someone else that you will be there on time and ready to play. Your time is valuable and so is the other players’, if you can’t make the match for reasons beyond your control please notify the other party well in advance.

    1. To accept a challenge you can click on a challenge message. This will open up a challenge-request window. You can’t schedule multiple matches during the same time that your game is supposed to take place. Once you are sure you can commit to this time hit the Accept button (it’s the third from the right on the top part of the message) within the challenge-request message window.

Tracking your Previous and Upcoming Matches

When you schedule a doctor’s appointment or have to show up in court to argue your late parking fees it’s important that you show up on time. That same attention (and excitement) should apply to time and date within the Titan Strike community. So we’ve created a Calendar that shows all of your upcoming matches.

    1. You will be able to find previous match details on your profile.
    2. Click on any date on the calendar at the bottom right to open up the calendar.

    3. Drag your mouse on top of a scheduled match to see more details.
    4. Click on a scheduled match to re-schedule a match, cancel a match or launch the game.

Re-scheduling a Match

We really don’t recommend re-scheduling matches since the other party has already made the proper arrangements to attend the original match time but if you must here is how:

    1. Login
    2. Open the Calendar by clicking on any date on the calendar.
    3. Find the match you would like to re-schedule and click on it.
    4. Enter the new time and date and a reason (required) and submit.

    5. You will be notified once your challenger accepts the re-schedule. Once your challenger accepts the match will automatically update in your calendar.
    6. If you re-schedule the match you are not cancelling the original until the re-scheduled match is accepted. So if you re-schedule a match and it is not accepted by your opponent you must show up to the original match time or the game will count as a No-Show on your statistics and you will forfeit the match.
    7. You may request to re-schedule a match up to one hour prior to the scheduled start time. However, we higly recommend that you re-schedule matches with much more prior notice than one hour to ensure there is enough time for your opponent to receive the message and accept/decline your request.

Canceling a Match

    1. Login
    2. Open the Calendar by clicking on any date on the calendar.
    3. Find the match you would like to cancel and click on it. Note: If you cancel a match during a tournament you will FORFEIT from participating in the tournament.
    4. Are you sure you can't make it? You will be adding to the number of cancelled matches in your statistics. If you absolutely cannot make it confirm the cancellation.

    5. If you may only request to cancel a match up to one hour prior to game time.
    6. Note: If you cancel a match it will appear under your statistics. If you amass cancelled matches in your record people might think twice before scheduling a match against you.

Launching your game using our Java Game Launcher

We have made it simple to launch directly into the game without the need of a console, i.p addresses or passwords using our game launcher. We highly recommend using our game launcher but you can also use a manual (not recommended) method and enter the match via the traditional i.p and password method you receive thru your system messages. We will not provide a tutorial on how to use the manual method since it is not recommended. In order to use our launcher you must have the most recent version of Java installed. Go to the following link to download the most recent version

http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp

    1. If you are playing Counter-Strike make sure that you have Steam running.
    2. Open the calendar and click on the game you would like to launch. A window will pop up with the options to re-schedule a game, cancel a game or launch the game. Click on launch game. You may launch your game up to 12 hours prior to game time. A new window will appear with a timer that will count down until game time. The timer will count down to 10 minutes before game time (which is the first opportunity for you to enter the game server).

    3. If you have multiple matches scheduled within 12 hours click on your next match. For example, if it’s noon and you have a match at 1 p.m and another at 5 p.m. Click on the match that happens first, in this case, the match at 1 p.m.
    4. If you would like to launch the game automatically click on auto-launch, otherwise, you must click the launch button after the countdown is completed.

    5. You must click on the launch now button before the scheduled game time. You have a 10 minute window before the official game time to enter the server. If you do not enter within the 10 minute window you will be disqualified.
    6. Once you click on launch now (or once the countdown has ended if you selected the auto-launch option) you will be taken directly into the game. Please click on “OK” then “Auto Assign”.
    7. The game will begin with a 10 minute practice round. The practice round will officially begin once both players are in the game server.
    8. When the practice round is complete the official game will commence.
